2023 Rewind: Twitter Goes Wild Over Dylan O'Brien's Shower, Pit-Smelling Scene on 'The Other Two'

HBO Max's "The Other Two" brilliantly skews the callous, competitive nature of the entertainment industry with its latest Season 3 episode,

On the latest episode, "Cary Becomes Somewhat of a Name," Cary (Drew Tarver) is forced to go through a series of humiliating Zoom auditions, which includes him donning a tacky wig and climbing into a suit of armor; only to be put up against a name actor, Dylan O'Brien ("The Maze Runner" franchise.)

At first a scruffy O'Brien, wearing a wool cap and sleeveless t-shirt, complains that he has to audition. "I can't even fucking believe I still gotta audition," he gripes. "I'm the fucking 'Maze Runner,' bro."

Smelling his armpits, O'Brien says, "Hey, you reek," and decides to take a shower. "And Daddy doesn't do good on a stinky audish." Things get interesting when he believes he's shut down his Zoom camera and strips down and showers in full view of Cary and his bf Curtis (Brandon Scott Jones) who is frantically taking screenshots. Not that they mind. "Truly. Thank you for this," says Curtis. "You would think seeing him naked would be a letdown but it is better," adds Cary.

The scene doesn't go as far as other streaming shows by crossing the full-frontal boundary, but fans of O'Brien weren't disappointed, judging from their Twitter responses.
