Red alert – literally! Kylie Minogue's new single has just dropped – along with a video that shows the Australian pop star working it in scarlet, with makeup, wardrobe, and backup dancers all color coordinated.

The sizzling single debuted this morning (May 18) on BBC Radio 2, UK newspaper the Daily Mail reported, and already it's being hailed as "the song of the summer."

Titled "Padam Padam," the song describes a potential lover's hammering heartbeat.

"I can tell you how this ends," Minogue croons confidently over the tune's galloping rhythm. "I'll be in your head all weekend."

Ours, too.

The video was designed to elicit heat. The Daily Mail noted that in the video, Minogue is "dressed head-to-toe in red, including a plunging neckline and sexy red leather gloves," with her lipstick and even her mascara being matching shades of vermilion.

The song is the lead single off Minogue's forthcoming album "Tension," which is due out September 22. Minogue took to Twitter on the morning of the single's release to announce the album title and release date.

"This album is a blend of personal reflection, club abandon and melancholic highs!" the pop star posted. "I felt so much freedom when I recorded it and hope you love it!"
