Kristen Stewart Is Writing a 'Stoner Girl Comedy' with Fiancée Dylan Meyer

Kristen Stewart is ready to lean into her stoner girl persona with a new project.
Speaking to "The Idol" star Rachel Sennottfor Interview Magazine, Stewart let it slip that she is writing a "stoner girl comedy" screenplay with her fiancée, Dylan Meyer. Although she calls the project "really fucking stupid," she thinks some people might like it.
"I think you'll like it," Stewart told Sennott. "But the reason I even thought of this is because our producer is our best friend. We're starting a company. I've worked with so many people that I didn't know and that I didn't like for so long. It was definitely valuable, but also, fuck that."
The project would be the second Stewart-scripted movie following her feature directorial debut "The Chronicles of Water," which is still in development.
Although Stewart did not provide any further details on the context of the script and why it's a "stoner girl comedy," the project is bound to connect to Stewart's devoted queer fan base.
Last fall, Stewart casted Imogen Poots in the lead role of "The Chronicles of Water," based on the memoir by Lidia Yuknavitch. Stewart co-wrote the script for the movie with Andy Mingo, and Poots will play a young woman who finds her voice through writing and swimming.
