"Sex Education" star Ncuti Gatwa lights up this year's Pride season with a photo shoot in which the buff actor poses sans clothing for British Vogue.

The magazine's Pride-themed issue also features a number of other celebrities.

The 30-year-old actor - who also stars in "Barbie" as one of the Kens and is set to play the Doctor in the upcoming season of the British sci-fi series "Doctor Who" - "looked incredibly handsome as he sat on top of a pile of black cushions as if depicting a work of art," UK newspaper the Daily Mail reported.

"He wore nothing but a delicate silver chain necklace and strategically bent his knee to preserve his modesty," the newspaper account went on to detail. "Ncuti's buff physique was in full display in the steamy snap, as he showed off his bulging biceps and ripped chest."

"The striking photo comes after Ncuti won praise last month after performing at King Charles' Coronation Concert," the Mail recalled.

Gatwa posted the image on his Instagram, where he thanked the publication as well as photographer Tim Walker, writing to Walker that "being photographed by you was an honour and a dream."

"Thank you @tiffanyandco for providing my outfit 💎" the actor added in a cheeky acknowledgement of the only things he wore.

"The inspiration was Yves Saint Laurent," Gatwa said.

The post includes a list of credits and then adds an "Image Description" that reads as follows: "Image shows Ncuti Gatwa, a Black man, sitting naked but for a necklace on a pile of three black leather cushions against a grey backdrop. His left arm is draped across his torso and his right hand rests on top of the top cushion. His face is tilted to the right and his eyes are closed."

Gatwa's character on "Sex Education," Eric, is openly gay, and one of the show's most popular characters, even among viewers one might not expect to embrace him.

"When the show first came out, I was living in Tottenham, and the amount of young boys from the block that would come up to me and be like, 'Oi, I love Eric you know!' I was like, 'Wow,'" the Nigerian-born actor told British Vogue.

"I used to train at this gym with a lot of ex-cons and bodybuilders," Gatwa went on to say, "and these guys would come up to me like, 'Eric's my favorite character,' or 'You're my girlfriend's favorite character,' and I'm like, 'Don't lie!' It was so cool because I could see the show opening up people's minds."

Gatwa also talked about is high-profile upcoming parts in "Barbie" and "Doctor Who."

"It's hilarious, self-aware and really fucking politically and socially accurate," the actor said of "Barbie." "And like, it's already a cultural phenomenon and it's not even out yet."

As for the "Doctor Who" gig, it was on the "Barbie" set that Gatwa learned a castmate was a major fan of the long-running BBC series.

"I remember Ryan Gosling bounding up to my trailer like, 'Doctor Who is the coolest show in the world man! I'm the biggest fan,'" said Gatwa. "And I was like, 'What the hell?' This show has incredible reach."

Though he auditioned with no expectation of landing the role as the fifteenth incarnation of the Doctor ("It's a British institution and there's no way they'll cast a Black man" is how he recounted his thinking at the time), he got the gig and will be calling the famed TARDIS home when the new season premieres this Christmas.

Gatwa admitted that "keeping it a secret until the announcement was very difficult. I'd often get a little tipsy in Soho House, make a new best friend in the bathroom, tell them and run off. Thankfully, it never got out."
