Another gay celebrity couple has announced plans for a divorce: Ricky Martin and husband Jwan Yosef say they are splitting up after a six-year marriage, People Magazine reported.

The two reached out to the publication with a statement in which they announced, "We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity for our children and honoring what we have experienced as a couple all these wonderful years."

The amicable split includes plans for the pair to continue co-parenting the two children they welcomed during their years together, "daughter Lucia, born in 2018, and son Renn, born in 2019," People Mag added.

The pair also mentioned their roles as parents in Instagram messages announcing their divorce, Billboard noted.

"Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on our genuine friendship as we continue the joint upbringing of our children," the former couple posted.

"As always, we thank you for all the love and support we received throughout our marriage. We are united in nurturing this new chapter of our lives."

The magazine noted that Martin also has two teenagers, "twin sons Matteo and Valentino, born in 2008, whom he'll continue to raise as a single parent."

"Martin, 51, and Yosef, 38, first connected on Instagram in 2015 and began dating six months later, after meeting in person for the first time in London," People Mag recalled. "They made their romance red-carpet official at the 2016 amFAR Inspiration Gala and announced their engagement the same year before getting married in 2018."

The two may be bringing their marriage to a close, but they both have plenty to keep them busy. Yosef, an award-winning artist, "opened a new studio in L.A. earlier this year," the magazine said. Martin, meanwhile, continues to branch out as an actor; the globally popular singer "is set to star in the main cast of Apple TV+'s upcoming period comedy 'Palm Royale' alongside Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern, Allison Janney and Carol Burnett."

On top of that, the "Livin' la Vida Loca" singer is preparing to "embark on The Trilogy Tour throughout North America with co-headliners Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias" later this year, the outlet relayed.

It seems unlikely that Martin will remain single longer than he cares to. Check out some of the pics and videos the still-smoldering singer has posted to Instagram.
