Sebastiano Pigazzi's' Bulge Gets a Moment on 'And Just Like That...'

READ TIME: 4 MIN.

"And Just Like That..." has been returning to the spirit of "Sex and the City" in the past few weeks with snarky bits. Last week Charlotte went out in snowmageddon to find condoms for her daughter (don't ask). A few weeks ago Seema threw a chauvinist out of her bed after she pulled a vibrator out of her drawer to please herself after sex.

On this past week's episode, titled "Valentine's Day," the show largely focused on the romantic status of its female characters, with the focus being on the Carrie/Aiden reunion (yawn). The exception was Anthony (Mario Cantone) who found himself in a crisis. Anthony runs a successful bread-making company called Hot Fellas whose hook is its muscled delivery service. But those muscles come at a price, and when Anthony finds one using performance enhancing drugs he fires him, telling the rest of the staff that if any of them are using, they are fired as well. As they leave, Anthony realizes he is only left with just his pornstar models for delivery, none of which would be appropriate to join Anthony on a visit to "The Drew Barrymore Show" to promote his brand.

Charlotte to the rescue. While in a bookstore shopping, she sees a man perfect for Anthony's company. The problem is that he's a sweet, Italian man selling his poems for $1 apiece and is tired of being hit on my middle-aged women. When Charlotte offers him $300 for 300 poems he wouldn't have to write in exchange for his tv appearance, the hunky Giuseppe first tells her no, saying she's just like another woman who offered to buy him a cashmere sweater. But Charlotte is persistent, and Giuseppe relents.

Giuseppe's bulge on "And Just Like That..."

At the studio, though, the big problem is how tight-fitting the Hot Fellas uniform is on Giuseppe – good for his bulging muscles, not so good for the enormous bulge in his pants. Carrying a food basket onto the set, Barrymore comments on his "big basket," but everyone's eyes are on Giuseppe's bulge. His appearance is successful, at least for Hot Fellas, with a huge increase in orders. The catch is that customers want Giuseppe to deliver, and the gentle poet is put-off by the scene, saying he is not a "prostitute." Again, though, he is convinced to spend the next week working for Anthony. Whether Giuseppe and his bulge make another return remains to be seen.

Giuseppe is played by Italian actor Sebastiano Pigazzi, who "And Just Like That..." showrunner Michael Patrick King described on Max's official podcast as being "a well-hung Disney prince" and a "comically hung dreamboat."

"King and his fellow 'And Just Like That...' writers stayed mum on the podcast on whether or not Pigazzi used a prosthetic for his 'big' moment, but they did reveal that casting Pigazzi actually changed the trajectory of the newest 'AJLT' character," Decider said.

"We write these prototype characters, this dreamboat, and then, you look at the auditions, and the first person that came up was Sebastiano Pigazzi," King said. "And everything else that we thought that the character would be, which was kind of, um, I think a little bit more porn, went out the window, because all of a sudden, there was, like, Prince Charming."

"Giuseppe is played by Italian actor Sebastiano Pigazzi. If he looks familiar to you, that could be because he's also appeared as Enrico in HBO's 'We Are Who We Are' and as Angelo Vitelli in last year's 'The Offer.' Pigazzi actually tells a humorous story about his time being told to improvise a kiss with Francesca Scorsese on the set of 'We Are Who We Are' in this Vestal Magazine interview," according to Decider.

"Worried Giuseppe will be a one-and-done character on the Max show? The writers of 'And Just Like That...' hinted on their podcast that he will be back – and a potential new love interest for none other than Anthony," Decider added.
