The internet is convinced that country music star Morgan Wade and longtime "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kyle Richards are secretly lovers - so the two "gave them something to talk about" with a steamy, sapphic music video.

Rolling Stone reported that the video for Wade's new single "Fall in Love with Me" "follows an infatuated 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Kyle Richards courting a new neighbor, played by the country singer."

In the video, Wade's character becomes the new girl next door; Richards' character keeps watch from her window as the new neighbor moves in, and takes an instant shine to her. The two begin to exchange love notes, as the lyrics declare, "Gonna make you fall in love with me" and poke fun at celebrity gossip: "You text me from the yacht, you're sipping cider / Don't worry, I ain't tipping off Insider."

"The video plays into the stereotypes of glamour associated with the reality TV star, as Richards brazenly works out in high heels and waters her plants in full glam, and writes Wade a letter on a typewriter in an extravagant dress," RS detailed.

"In addition to sharing a bathtub and feeding each other berries with whipped cream, the pair nearly lock lips," Page Six described in a writeup. But it's all just a romantic daydream - or is it?

The video teases that there might be some truth to the lonely housewife's imaginings, just as Wade and Richards intended to suggest to a thirsty internet that the long-circulating rumors about the two of them could maybe, just maybe, be true.

"Like vigilante detectives, fans [have] seized upon small clues, like Wade's 'K' tattoo, as evidence of a secret relationship," RS noted, adding that "Since the news broke" of Richards' separation from husband Mauricio Umansky, Richards "has continued to deny that anyone else is involved in the couple's split. She also told a paparazzo that she is 'not single,' suggesting her marriage to Umansky isn't over."

For his part, Umansky applauded the video. "'🔥🔥🔥 So good,' Umansky, 53, commented on Richards and Wade's joint social media upload promoting the steamy shoot," Page Six said.

Wade and Richards are perfectly well aware that while many, if not most, people will understand the joke for what it is, there are some for whom the saucy video will be like a spark to dry tinder. But for the 28-year-old Wade, internet rumors about her romantic life are nothing new.

"I've done several music videos," Wade said in a behind-the-scenes clip about the video, in which Richards, 54, also appears, "and every time there's someone in it with me, they always assume we're dating or something is going on."

"If you get on the internet you see people are obsessed with us being friends and why we're friends and why I would be friends with you," Wade added, addressing Richards. Then she tells the camera: "We thought it would kind of be a good idea to kinda poke fun at that and... troll the trolls a little bit."

And if the trolls lose their minds in gullible glee? That'll be part of the fun.

Said Wade, "the internet is going to be popping off about this one, I'm sure."

"Fall in Love with Me" will be featured on Wade's forthcoming album, "Psychopath," due out Aug. 25. Watch the sultry new video below.
