Viewers Divided on 'And Just Like That' Renewal

Just as "And Just Like That" is completing its second season, it was announced that HBO has renewed it for a third season. Few shows have divided audiences quite like this sequel to "Sex and the City" over its two seasons, with some calling it an enjoyable extension of the "Sex and the City" franchise, while others lashed out at its wane attempt at woke-ism and its myopic world view of the privileged and self-absorbed.

Should Che Diaz come back? And has showrunner Michael Patrick King jumped the shark? As these social media messages suggest, this renewal was met with a divided reaction.


"Hate watch" and "So bad, I love so much!" are amongst the comments made on X (aka Twitter). But others were genuinely happy to see the Sarah Jessica Parker-helmed dramedy make a return for a third season. Of course, that date – or whether or not it will happen – depends on the resolution of the SAG/AFTRA strike. But for now, both fans and haters can look forward to more of the much-maligned series.
