There is something rotten happening around "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

In a bombshell report from the Rolling Stone, employees anonymously shared that the titular host Fallon can be moody, dismissive and a drunk.

Employees around the show shared that there are "good Jimmy days" and "bad Jimmy days."

During one rehearsal in 2017 particularly, he couldn't remember what he was doing in front of the audience and stumbled around in front of the rehearsal audience. According to at least one person present, he seemed drunk.

"According to two current and 14 former employees, The Tonight Show has been a toxic workplace for years – far outside the boundaries of what's considered normal in the high-pressure world of late-night TV," Rolling Stone reports. "They say the ugly environment behind the scenes starts at the top with Fallon's erratic behavior, and has trickled down to its ever-changing leadership teams – nine showrunners in the past nine years – who seemingly don't know how to say no to Jimmy."

Former employees describe the show as a "pretty glum atmosphere." They have alleged that they have been belittled and intimidated by their bosses. Staffers also alleged that they had been impacted by mental health issues from working on the show, referring to the show's dressing rooms as "crying rooms."

"It's a bummer because it was my dream job," said one former employee says. "Writing for late night is a lot of people's dream jobs, and they're coming into this and it becomes a nightmare very quickly. It's sad that it's like that, especially knowing that it doesn't have to be that way."

Is this yet again another case of a "nice" celebrity revealed to be not-so nice? Read the complete Rolling Stone article here.
