Are You Ready for a 'Real Housewives' Exposé?

What's better than the "Real Housewives"? An exposé about the "Real Housewives."

Page Six is reporting that Vanity Fair reportedly has just that cooking up for one of its upcoming issues. According to the gossip rag, the feature story will explore the franchise and fragility behind the "Housewives" production, including all the ways in which the women give up their freedom for the promise of fame and fortune.

It's a complex show behind the scenes, and Page Six reports that a reporter from Vanity Fair has been interviewing cast members and other sources in an effort to suss out its secrets.

"We're told the article is expected to delve into the highly demanding work lives of the 'Real Housewives' stars, and what they trade in terms of their privacy, their image and even their mental health and relationship with alcohol in order to keep their much-coveted, often highly paid roles," Page Six reports.

Additionally an unnamed source adds that, "[The journalist] is really going deep into what the women go through and what's expected of them as members of the cast and members of the 'Bravo family.'"

Fans will reportedly see a lot that they "don't really see or understand about how it really works."

Juicy!

And rightfully so, sources say Bravo execs are nervous about the story.

"Sources say that during their interviews, stars have been invited to reflect on what they have given up to appear on the show, whether it's been worth it, and how much control – in retrospect – they feel they have really had," Page Six reports. "Meanwhile, we hear the piece also looks into Bravo's various protocols and guidelines for addressing the well-being of its stars, and to what degree they are effective."

Last year, Vanity Fair published a lengthy feature focused on the behind-the-scenes of the British reality show "Love Island," titled "How 'Love Island' Became A TV Reality of Sex, Fame and Sometimes Tragedy."

The upcoming article is reportedly going to be done in the same way.
