There's Still Time to Win Halloween with These Pop Culture Costumes
Christopher Ehlers READ TIME: 11 MIN.
Whether you find yourself invited to a last-minute party or if you've been dragging your feet for the month of October, fear not: there's still plenty of time to get creative and still win Halloween. Here are some ideas:
Britney Spears
Now remember, if The Princess of Pop is going to factor into your Halloween festivities this year, it better be without a shred of negativity. There are so many Britneys to choose from, but we think a knife-wielding, belly dancing Britney would get the best reaction. Or how about Britney holding the head of Justin Timberlake, a la Kathy Griffin and Trump?
Ice Spice
One of 2023's biggest rising stars, Ice Spice's profile has exploded over the last few months thanks not only to a run of successful singles, but also her budding friendship with Taylor Swift and her Dunkin' Donuts commercials with Ben Affleck. Plus, she's heavily favored to take home Best New Artist at next year's Grammys.
M3GAN
M3GAN peaked a little early this year, but we still think she's going to make a huge comeback at this year's Halloween festivities.
Rihanna
Specifically, Rihanna's infamous Super Bowl outfit, preferably flanked by a squad of human marshmallows.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour
Taylor wore more than 40 outfits during the course of her record-breaking Eras Tour, and any one of them would make a great costume this year. But we're partial to pre-show cleaning cart Taylor (IYKYK).
The Bear
The easiest last-minute costume, if there ever was one, you'll be instantly recognizable with little more than a white tee, a blue apron, a pair of pants, and a befuddled expression. Just don't forget to get that arm pump going.
The White Lotus
Whether you're dressing with a group this Halloween or flying solo, there are dozens of characters from both seasons of this hit show that could win Halloween. Of course, we're partial to Jennifer Coolidge's Tanya. To be extra creepy, you could always go as (spoiler alert) her drowned corpse.
Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce
This one's going to be everywhere this year, but it remains one of the best couple options out there (especially if you're going the smudged lipstick route).
Barbenheimer
Alright, this one might be a little involved for a last minute costume, but some work under pressure and this half-and-half option representing two of the year's most popular films will definitely elicit applause.
Bad Bunny
Another dream of a last-minute costume, you might even be able to cobble this together from items you already have in your closet. After all, our darling Benito has been known to wear some pretty bizarre things.
