'So Ridiculous' – Carly Waddell Spills About School Days with Lady Gaga

Carly Waddell – an Instagram influencer, singer, and reality TV star famed for her appearances on "The Bachelor" franchise – dished up some details on Lady Gaga's lunchtime antics back in college.

The two both attended Tisch School of Arts in New York where, Waddell recounted to "Trading Secrets" podcast host Jason Tartick, Gaga's daily performances at the piano were "driving me crazy."

About five minutes into the hourlong podcast, Waddell recalled having been "one of the top people at Cap 21" – Chapter 21, that is, which she explained is "the musical theater studio within Tisch. There's, like, 60 people that are, like, let in per year. Also, I was one of those 60, with Lady Gaga. We were the two people who dropped out at the same time."

Tartick instantly wanted to know more. "You know Lady Gaga," he said.

"Well, I – yes, but [at that time] she was Stefani," Waddell noted, referring to Gaga's real name, Stefani Germanotta.

"Okay, what was Stefani like in class?" Tartick asked.

"I was... not a fan," Waddell said with a laugh. Explaining that "you would eat just in, like, a dance studio," Waddell recalled that "there was a piano, and she would sit at the piano every single day and just play and sing 'Wicked' at the top of her lungs... and we were all just trying to eat lunch!"

"And we were all, like, forced to listen to her. And yes, was she good? Of course! She's great!" Waddell saic. "But I just wanted to eat my sandwich, you know? And so, I used to just eat in the hallway because she was driving me crazy."

That wasn't all.

"She would wear these really tight leotards," Waddell said of the famously fashion-forward pop icon, "and she had really big boobs back then, and, and her boobs were just, like, coming out." With a laugh, Waddell added, "She's so ridiculous."

"Was she noticeably, though, like, way better than everybody?" Tartick asked.

"No," Waddell stated flatly. "No, I wouldn't say. She was one of [the] good ones, but I would never be, like, she was so above. But now she's so above!"

Waddell did note, though, that Gaga had been writing her own songs well before her time at Tisch, and at the school's talent shows, "she was singing her own stuff, and I was like... you can't argue – that girl's really good." Waddell went on to add that Gaga "was good at everything, but she was better at her own stuff."

Adding that Gaga is "a genius," Waddell noted, "we both dropped out of the program because we didn't love the program, and I'm sure she was just as unhappy in it as I was, or she would have stayed."
