The queer drama "All of Us Strangers" is officially a hit among critics. As reported by Reuters, the film was a big winner at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) on Sunday, taking home seven awards, including best British independent film and best director.

Directed by Andrew Haigh, the movie is based on the 1987 Taichi Yamada's novel "Strangers," and the film stars Paul Mescal as Harry, Andrew Scott as Adam, with Claire Foy and Jamie Bell as Adam's parents.

At the center of the film, Adam is a lonely writer living in London when he makes a connection with Harry, one of his few neighbors. After he is prompted to visit his childhood home to resolve some issues of his past, he is shocked to find his parents still living their despite their deaths.

"It has this very audacious idea at its centre, which is: what might you say to your parents after their death that you didn't get to say to them before they died. And it's very beautiful and it's got a metaphysical aspect to it, but it's also just about love. It's a movie about love and we're so proud of it," said Scott about the film on the red carpet.

And we can't wait to see it!
