After Releasing Duet With Billy Porter, Luke Evans Teases New Music and Tour

Luke Evans isn't just a handsome movie star. He sings, too, and now he might be ready to bless the world with some new music.
In an interview with The Standard, Evans shared that he is in the process of writing and recording some new tunes for a potential tour. This after Evans just joined Billy Porter – his "Our Son" co-star – for a duet in the song "Always Be My Man," which the pair hopes will become a "queer wedding anthem."
(See their performance of the song below.)
"I am writing right now and I've been recording a few things so I may release something in the new year, I'm not sure yet," said Evans. "That never stops."
Evans, 44, released his debut album "At Last" in 2019, followed by "A Song For You" in 2022
Although he is mostly known as an actor, appearing in hit films such as "The Hobbit" and Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" remake, the man loves to belt.
"I love singing. I would like to maybe do some touring next year, I'm not entirely sure when but that would be the next step for me to take a show on the road, which would be really fun," said Evans.
Will you be in line to buy tickets?
About returning to London's West End in "Backstairs Billy," Evans said it's his busiest role on stage yet.
"I'm literally on my feet for the whole play and it's quite a busy role for me and I'm also in tails and a waistcoat and it's very heavy and very thick," he said. "And I'm just dropping weight like crazy, but it's a good way of doing cardio without having to stand on a treadmill at six o'clock in the morning so I'm quite happy about it."
Us, too.
