Note: Spoiler alerts for Season Two of "The Traitors" ahead:
In reality TV, beef is forever. And "Drag Race" star Peppermint's feelings for "Real World: Las Vegas" star Trishelle Cannatella is no different.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, both Peppermint and Trishelle recently competed on the second season of Peacock's "The Traitors." They both were eliminated, and they both are still no longer talking to each other after a feud on the show.
About Trishelle, Peppermint said that she still didn't know why the "Real World" alum targeted her.
"To be magnanimous, maybe she just really thought I was a Traitor," Peppermint said. "Maybe that's really what she thought. I don't think so, there could be some other reasons. You'd have to ask her."
To be voted off the show, "felt as bad as it could've felt."
"It felt terrible!" Peppermint explained. "There are so many things I wanted to do. Primarily, I wanted to enjoy the rest of the game and get to know all these people, many of those people I had watched on my TV for so long. In the first few days of the experience, there's not a ton of time for that. You hit the ground running."
Peppermint was runner-up in "RuPaul's Drag Race" season 9 and helped make the phrase, "but is it fashion?", one of the most memorable memes of the show. However, a similar exchange about fashion on "The Traitors" led to a lot of finger-pointing about who was a traitor what on the show.
"If I get murdered, she's a Traitor," said Trishell pointing at Peppermint on the show. Then Peppermint couldn't tell if she was kidding and things soured from there.
"I find it hard to believe that she really thought I was a Traitor based on just me reacting to her accusing me of [potentially] eliminating her," Peppermint told EW. "The insinuation was that I would be jealous of what she wore. Basically it's a semi-personal dig."
We caught that too, but Trishelle thinks her instincts were justified.
"I felt like I was spot-on," she said. "I felt she looked like a Traitor, the way she was carrying herself–so confident, almost like, 'I'm untouchable.' So I was shocked when I found out she wasn't."
About being wrong, Trishelle said she "thought about reaching out," but we all know what that means.
"But I was like, maybe it's still too fresh. So maybe after today, I will," she said.
Some day soon, we hope.
