Princess Poppy literally trolled the Emmys with a "green goblin" look on the red carpet – and an unexpected reverberation of that is Alaska spilling some tea about Lea Michele allegedly ignoring drag artists.

The "Drag Race" star's ensemble of green gown and green makeup, accessorized with a hideous green "goblin" mask, made headlines and ruled the red carpet at the Emmys on Jan. 15.

Entertainment Weekly recounted that "the season 5 finalist and All Stars 2 winner recalled on the most recent episode of her 'Race Chaser' podcast with fellow 'Drag Race' alum (and 'A Star Is Born' actress) Willam that interacting with Hollywood elites in full drag is no small feat."

When Alaska was asked to comment on Princess Poppy's look, she made the claim that Hollywood celebrities are "mortified" to see drag artists, because drag is so clearly a medium of artifice. Just Jared documented that Alaska illustrated her claim by looking back to something she said happened in 2017 at another high-profile awards occasion: The Grammys.

"I've been to a few mainstream awards show in drag. I went to the Grammys one year," Alaska recounted, before claiming that celebrity attendees at the event "wouldn't look us in the eye. Like, Lea Michele looked through us, wouldn't even acknowledge that we exist."

Meanwhile, Alaska added, "Kris Jenner was there just looking so mad at her life that it had come to this. She was hosting the E! carpet, and just looked so miserable."

Offering a theory for this, Alaska said, "Celebrities are mortified of drag queens," before opining that "We pull the curtain back of the facade of what Hollywood is. We make fun of it."

Drag performers, Alaska stated, take the opposite tack. "We're aware that this is fake because we take this off at night and become a different person," she said. "But, mostly, everyone there is, 'This is real, this is reality, and you must believe that or else all of this will crumble.'"

Princess Poppy herself framed the daring red carpet look as a matter of being contrary to expectations, telling Entertainment Weekly, "I wanted to do the exact opposite of what is expected of you when you go to an event like this. I wanted to take decorum and turn it on its head."

For Alaska, however, Princess Poppy's goblin getup was "a great statement because she's the sum of all fears."
