Watch: Julianne Moore and Nicholas Galitzine in 'Mary & George' Is Like a Queer 'Game of Thrones'
Emell Adolphus READ TIME: 1 MIN.
"Red, White & Royal Blue" star Nicholas Galitzine has found his perfect follow up role after playing British royalty in the LGBTQ-friendly film: another prince in the upcoming 'Mary & George'
Yet this time, Galitzine has a scheming social climber of a mother in Julianne Moore. Think of it as a queer "Game of Thrones," and the trailer is just as juicy.
As Mary and George Villiers, Moore and Galitzine are deliciously deviant.
According to the synopsis, the wild and true backstory follows a down-on-her-luck Mary hoping her son can be the favorite gay play thing of King James I. Of course she gets power out of it while the King is "so cockstruck, it's like a curse." Not to be outdone by her soon, the trailer shows Mary also getting steamy with another woman. All in all, it seems like one big gay time, and we can't wait.
"I was raised by a monster," Galitzine's George tells his mother at the end of the trailer.
Moore quips, "Only children believe in monsters."
Look for "Mary & George" on Starz on April 5, and check out the trailer below.
