Conservative columnist Candace Owens went head-to-head with out ex-CNN host Don Lemon and it got ugly when the conversation turned to same-sex marriage and gay slurs.

"Lemon asked the 35-year-old point-blank if she thought he was 'sinning' for being in a same-sex marriage in a July 12 interview on 'The Don Lemon Show' podcast," the Daily Mail reported.

Watch the confrontation between Don Lemon and Candace Owens. For the conversation about gay slurs and same-sex marriage, go to the 53-minute mark.

"'You think I'm sinful because I'm married to a man?' Lemon asked to which Owens' responded confidently, 'Yes' before doubling down on her comments," the Mail continued.

"'It's a sin ... You're sinning. You're in a sinful relationship. I actually don't believe marriage can be between two men,' she told Lemon who is married to a 40-year-old man, Tim Malone.

"I hope you deal with that," Owens said. "I obviously want you to be Christian and to understand why it is that sodomy is a sin."

She added that she thought "people should get help" for their sexuality.

Lemon asked Owens if she was homophobic, which she dismissed by dissing him.

"You're such an absurd human being," she said. "What does homophobia even mean? You think I'm scared of two gay men walking down the street. I don't fear anything but God."

When told by Lemon that some may think her interracial marriage is sinful, Owens replied that she had never heard that argument in a biblical context.

But the day after the interview was released, Owens accused Lemon of baiting her. In speaking to her own viewers, she claimed Lemon was egging her on to call him a "f*****." She also claimed to have been traumatized by the incident.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am not OK right now. I need to talk to you guys because something has happened regarding which I may never recover," Owens said.

"[Don Lemon] straight up asked me if I wanted to call him a f*****. Yeah, he was goading me to call him the F word."

"I'm a 35-year-old mother. I don't go around being like, 'Hey, you're a f*****.' I'm not 18 years old," she said, according to the Mail.

"I'm not going around calling people names, period. And I wouldn't go up to a fat person and call them names. It's an absurd thing to be going around pointing and calling people names because I don't like them. I would know, so the answer is no, I would not," Owens said.

Owens has been consistently slammed for her antisemitic comments and for pushing historically false narratives, the Mail contextualized.

"She has recently come under fire for her denial of the atrocities of the Holocaust, including the human experiments that Nazi physician Josef Mengele conducted on prisoners at Auschwitz. She was called out for her 'increasing embrace of antisemitic tropes' after claiming on her show last week that Mengele's horrific twin experiments were 'bizarre propaganda'."
