Gay Instagram Embraces Kathryn Hahn as She Makes Inaugural Post

"Agatha All Along" star Kathryn Hahn resisted the siren song of social media and was not on Instagram... until yesterday, that is. But when she made her inaugural post - a candid snap of herself and gay co-star Joe Locke, who also stars on the Netflix queer rom-com series "Heartstopper" - fans greeted her with enthusiasm.

"The 51-year-old actress launched her official social media app on Tuesday (October 8) hours before a new episode of her Marvel series 'Agatha All Along' drops on Disney+," Just Jared detailed.

Taking the handle "motherhahn," the MCU star captioned the pic "Witch and Teen," a nod to the characters she and Locke play in the series.

A spin-off of "WandaVision," "Agatha All Along" depicts Hahn's character, witch Agatha Harkness, as having been trapped without her powers in a spell that had her believing she lived in a police procedural. Once she breaks free of the spell with the help of a mysterious teenager - "Teen," played by Locke - she must coax a coven into existence, comprised of a group of fellow witches who detest her, and complete a dangerous quest on a mystical road through a supernatural realm.

"Agatha All Along" also stars Aubrey Plaza, Patti LuPone, Ali Ahn, and Sasheer Zamata, and it was Plaza who took the photo of Hahn and Locke. The series hints at a past romantic entanglement between Hahn and Plaza's characters, and Instagram was well clued in.

"Can you please drop the poems you and Aubrey sent each other for Agatha and Rio? 🙏" a fan writing from an account called sapphic_underground requested in the post's comments section.

Other fan comments were equally ecstatic.

"On lesbian day? A pic taken by aubrey? MOTHER HAHN?????" one person posted in response.

"On international lesbian day?????????" a second commentator echoed. "Timing".

Declared a third: "THE LESBIANS WON ON LESBIAN DAY".

Just as exciting to fans on Instagram was the resonance of Hahn's handle.

"MOTHER IS HERE HELLOOOO," one person crowed.

"MOTHER HAS ARRIVED!!!!" another swooned.

One person ventured, "Is this actually her???" - and none other than Joe Locke replied, confirming motherhahn's bona fides with a single word:

"yes".

You can't get more definitive than that.

Exploring the platform's "story" feature, Hahn also posted a clip of herself interpreting columnist E. Jean Carroll's testimony regarding her accusation that former president Donald Trump sexually assaulted her. Check it out below.
