Gay Twitter Gags at Beefed-Up Kit Connor's Casting in 'Warfare' – Watch the New Trailer

"Heartstopper" heartthrob Kit Connor had put on pounds of muscle for the sweet Netflix series' latest season – and seeing him in the new "Warfare" trailer, Gay Twitter gets the reason (and loves the result).
The film's official synopsis states that "'Warfare' embeds audiences with a platoon of American Navy SEALs in the home of an Iraqi family, overwatching the movement of US forces through insurgent territory."
The new trailer lays out the plot: Connor's "new guy" joins a group of US servicemembers just before they come under attack by Iraqi insurgents. The film tracks the platoon's movements as they fend off the insurgents in firefights and navigate the city streets in an attempt to fall back to safety.
The synopsis calls the upcoming movie – co-directed by "Civil War" helmer Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza, a veteran of military action in Iraq who also co-wrote the film with Garland – "A visceral, boots-on-the-ground story of modern warfare, told like never before: in real time and based on the memory of the people who lived it."
Among those also starring in the film are Finn Bennett, Aidan Bradley, Alex Brockdorff, Michael Gandolfini, Evan Holtzman, Charles Melton, Will Poulter, Joseph Quinn, Henrique Zaga, and, playing Mendoza, D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai.
Gay Twitter had some thoughts, and weren't shy about sharing.
"Warfare" is expected in theaters next year. Netflix has not yet announced whether there will be a fourth season of "Heartstopper."
