Jenny McCarthy: I Feel a Transgender Person on the Inside

Oh, boy.

In a recent interview, actress Jenny McCarthy, and former "The View" cohost, said she feels like a transgender person on the "inside" despite being a CIS female, Us Weekly points out.

Speaking with PrideSource, McCarthy was asked about playing a transgender woman on the '90s sitcom "Just Shoot Me!"

"I feel like that inside. I always felt like one of the guys wearing, like, a Playboy bunny outfit," she said. "I was David Spade's buddy to begin with, so I was a natural fit, and I always felt like his brother. To play kind of the dude, was almost too scary natural."

McCarthy, 41, also talked about her 12-year-old son Evan and said that she would be thrilled if he came out as gay, before jumping into some stereotypes.

"Oh my god, I would be so excited," she told the publication. "We can shop! Do my hair!"

She added: "I really do feel like, with sexuality being more open and people coming out, there might be a little bi in everybody; it's just a matter of who acts on it."

This isn't the first time the actress has made some questionable comments regarding the LGBT community.

In June, McCarthy came under fire after she made what some called an anti-trans joke on Twitter about Jennifer Lopez's ex-boyfriend, Casper Smart, who was accused of cheating on the pop star with a trans bikini model.

"Did Jennifer Lopez' boyfriend cheat with a transsexual model? I Heard JLo gave him an ultimatum: 'it's either me or her/him!" McCarthy tweeted to her 1.17 million followers.

She quickly deleted the tweet, however. Still, that didn't stop Twitter users from calling out the former "Playboy" star:

"Hey Jenny, that 'joke' about the trans person was truly tasteless. Get relevant."

"#Trans people shouldn't be used as punchlines in bad jokes when they're too often used as punching bags for violence. #lgbt"

"Hey @JennyMcCarthy your last tweet was really transphobic. I'm a 'learn and be better' type, so I thought I'd let you know. PEACE."
