Grammy-Winning Artist Mýa Headlines Teaze Event For Women

On Saturday, June 25, Grammy Award-winning artist, M�a, will be headlining NYC Pride's exclusive Saturday event for women, Teaze. M�a joins an impressive list of DJ's including Samantha Ronson, Toni*K and Tatiana, slotted to perform throughout the day.

"We can't wait to have M�a entertain the more than 4,000 women expected to attend Teaze this year," said Icelyn Ugbomah-Ragbir, NYC Pride Teaze Director. "We've been working hard to create an even more exciting and interactive Teaze experience, and M�a's performance is certain to make 2016 an unforgettable party."

M�a has just released her 12th in-studio project, "Smoove Jones," and is best known for her chart topping hits, "Ghetto Supastar," "Case of the Ex," "My Love Is Like... Wo" and her wildly successful collaboration with P!nk, Christina Aguilera and Lil' Kim on "Lady Marmalade." She has also appeared in films such as "Chicago," "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights," and "Shall We Dance?" In addition to her music and film career, M�a has also been a tireless advocate for the LGBT community over the past several years including supporting efforts to aid LGBT homeless youth, support marriage equality and eliminate HIV/AIDS.

Heritage of Pride, Inc. is the volunteer-managed organization behind the official NYC Pride roster of events. The 2016 roster includes 11 different events for LGBT and allied people of all ages, taking place from June 19 to June 26 throughout Manhattan.

The 13th annual Teaze (formerly known as Rapture on the River) is NYC Pride's exclusive Saturday event for women. The event runs from 3-10 p.m. and takes place at Hudson River Park's Pier 26 in downtown Manhattan. Tickets are available online at https://www.showclix.com/event/Teaze2016
