Priyanka Chopra Chides Rosie O'Donnell: At Least Know My Name When You Apologize!

Onetime "Quantico" star Priyanka Chopra took Rosie O'Donnell to task for not having looked up her name before posting an apology to TikTok following an awkward exchange.

Although O'Donnell posted another apology for her initial apology, Chopra made a tart response in a Feb. 23 Instagram Story post, Page Six reported.

Chopra schooled O'Donnell in a post addressed to "Everyone" and offering "Some thoughts" – but not mentioning O'Donnell by name.

"I have never taken myself so seriously to think everyone would know who I am, or my work for that matter," Chopra, who also starred in 2017's "Baywatch" and last year's "The Matrix: Resurrections" posted.

"But if you wanted to make a public apology for a very awkward private encounter, I think probably best to take the time to google my name before doing it or even try to reach out directly."

Added Chopra: "We ALL deserve to be respected for our unique individuality and not be referred to as 'someone' or 'wife' especially in a sincere apology."

O'Donnell's Feb. 20 post had referenced the actor as "'Something' Chopra" and "the Chopra wife," making it excruciatingly obvious that O'Donnell didn't know the first name of the person to whom she was trying to apologize.

As previously reported at EDGE, Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas, had been seated next to O'Donnell and her party at a Malibu restaurant. In her initial TikTok post, O'Donnell recounted how she greeted Jonas and then, mistakenly believing that Chopra's father was the celebrity wellness and alternative medicine advocate Deepak Chopra, said to her: "I know your father."

However, Chopra's father was Dr. Ashok Chopra, who died in 2013.

O'donnell said she felt embarrassed after Chopra explained the mistake.

"Didn't you think Nick Jonas was married to Deepak Chopra's daughter?" she asked her TikTok audience in the post. "Am I the only one who thought that?"

Once TikTok followers started calling O'Donnell out for not knowing Chopra's first name, the comedian returned to the platform to apologize again.

"According to the comments...she's apparently a very well known actress and apparently more famous than people are saying, so I'm sure it felt weird to begin with," O'Donnell said.

"And anyway Priyanka is her name – Priyanka. I hope I'm pronouncing that right," O'Donnell added. "I just want to apologize to her and anyone who thought that it was really inappropriate of me. Sorry, sometimes I fuck up. I didn't know boo."
